If you had told me at my high school graduation that in 10 years' time I would be dressing up as a 16th century mathematician, teaching a junior college precalculus class with students who think I'm awesome, and then playing music at a folk dance practice, I'm not sure if I would've believed you or not, but I bet I would've been pretty happy about it.

They're right, of course; I would never permit my students to be wrong about something so important.
