00001. http://www.kingdomofloathing.com/ An adventurer is you! Y'all better come play now. Is fun. I'm Noodle Nick if you want to contact me in-game.
00002. Anyone play Warcraft III? I've recently started playing on battlenet, but I forgot the Number One Rule of Battlenet, which is "Nearly everyone you meet on battlenet will be a teenage jerk who doesn't care about grammar or spelling." It seems to me that playing with people I already know and trust would be a lot more fun.
00003. Hopefully I'll have time this summer to start up an ongoing (probably weekly) RPG. This one will be set on Tarmackia, a bizarre and surreal place of my own devising. Imagine a small planet entirely (well, almost entirely) paved over with parking lot, and with dozens of floors of underground parking garage below. The planet is inhabited by strange people from various points in the history (and quite a few ALTERNATE histories) of Earth, all pulled out of their native dimensions by a mysterious portal at the north pole of Tarmackia. In game terms, this means players will be able to create characters using pretty much any GURPS sourcebook they want, and said characters will be thrown together into adventures on this bizarre world.
Oh, and don't mess with the Truckers. They've got one hell of a Union.
So. Anyone interested? I'll probably be starting in the first or second week of July. So far it looks like we've got an elemental sorceress and a cyber-orc martial arts expert for sure, and possibly a velociraptor knight and a maaaaagical fairy with an affinity for mechanics too. I'm hoping to get a trucker or a mecha pilot as well, but the possibilities really are quite open. Angsty teenage goth vampire, old Western gunslinger with laser pistols, steam-tech inventor, cheesy four-color superhero--if you can think of a plausible alternate Earth where it might exist, it's probably a viable character for Tarmackia.
00004. You're not cleared for this one.
00005. Also: fnord!

Date: 2005-06-21 01:06 am (UTC)2. I haven't finished the single-player campaign for the main game, nor have I cracked open the expansion. I might be willing to try some online play, but I'm essentially a newb in that venue. Be gentle with me.

Date: 2005-06-21 09:34 am (UTC)Though less so lately, I have spent the last few months wasting away on battlenet as well on WarCraft III Frozen Throne. I was very hurt when everyone called me gAY and a N00b, but they are just chil'ren, so I forgive them.
It's quite the game. I really like it! Love the campaigns. Hope you find a copy of the expansion pack soon...
