For the last six months or so, I've noticed that every morning, or every morning that I can remember, I've awakened with music in my mind. It tends to continue playing on loop until it's replaced by something else (generally whatever tape's in my car).

Sometimes this music is music I was listening to shortly before I went to bed.
Sometimes this music somehow relates to a dream I was having.
And sometimes this music just seems to come out of nowhere.

This morning was one of those mornings.

Remember the movie of "The Call of Cthulhu" that I got for Christmas? It's been more than a week since I watched it (New Year's Eve party) and it hadn't really been on my mind, but I rolled out of bed with music from the movie running through my mind.

That's not the weird bit. The weird bit is that it wasn't the typical somber, creepy music that plays through most of the movie.
It was the bouncy, cheerful, ragtime-ish tune that plays in the background of the Anthropology Department 1908 annual party scene.

Oh great Cthulhu, there it is again...
