Wow, what a week! Busy but productive.


Monday: teaching; tutoring; played music for ceili

Tuesday: hiring appointment to fill out paperwork for new job; lunch with new boss to discuss what I'll actually be doing

Wednesday: teaching; character creation session for Star Trek RPG I'll be running

Thursday: got fingerprinted for new job; went to after-work pub to preemptively hang out with future co-workers

Friday: played music for Pryankster recruitment on campus, went to D.R.A.G.O.N., taught some students the basics (and history) of Star Fleet Battles, entertained them with stories of what WarHammer was like in the old days when I was in college, convinced a few of them to check out Pryanksters next week

Hey Barnabas--would you have time to walk me through a GURPS space and a GURPS gun battle?

I'd be happy to give it a try. I've never run ranged combat in GURPS (except for a brief one-shot battle between a tyrannosaurus and a certain troll watchman with a siege engine), but I've read a lot about it, and I'll probably need to know the basics anyway for phaser shootouts in the upcoming Star Trek game. Bring the character sheets or whatever to pryactice and I'm sure we can figure it out.
