This is too much. We must destroy the fire imps and take the magma pipe as soon as possible. The two remaining marksdwarves are now practicing archery and martial arts full-time, while Tosid forges them full suits of iron plate. As soon as they are ready, we move on the magma pipe. Axes high!

During the winter of 1054, the colonial team known as the "Metal of Thunder" left for Leromrigòth to start a new outpost. Leromrigòth appeared to be a promising location: tropical weather, mountainous regions (with plenty of iron ore and signs of flux stone), a nearby jungle (good source of wood and food), a river running through the region, and most importantly, a magma pool--if we could harness its power, we'd have no need for coal ever again! These features are somewhat spread out, though; the magma pool is far to the northeast while the jungle is in the southwest. Creating a fortress here may be difficult, but worthwhile.

To conserve resources, we brought nothing with us but raw materials (wood, iron ore, copper nuggets, mineral coal, and flux stone), food, drink, and the foundation of any colony, an anvil. Strike the earth!
