It is said that when George Bernard Shaw was a little boy, he was watching his father shave and asked "Father, why do you shave?" Father looked at his razor in astonishment, said "Yeah, why the hell do I?", threw the razor out the window, and grew a beard. Young Georgie later did the same (growing a beard, not throwing a razor out the window) when he was old enough.
