Martian Backgammon
Jun. 26th, 2013 11:45 pmWe just tried playing Martian Backgammon for the first time. I was dubious at first but it turned out to be remarkably fun. Being played with plastic pyramids on an imagined 5x5 grid, it doesn't look anything at all like traditional backgammon, but there are noticeable similarities (and noticeable differences; for instance, piece size matters a great deal). All in all it's an enjoyable game; chance matters enough to keep things from being predictable but most turns involve strategic decisions that matter even more.
