Dealing with Cats

Once upon a time, Cat approached Man and said "I have a deal for you. You and your people will treat me and my people as gods for a while, and then forever after your descendants will feed, house, and care for my descendants, and never ask anything in return."

"That doesn't sound like a good deal at all," said Man. "What do we get out of it?"

"We'll solve your rat problem," purred Cat.

"Where do I sign?" asked Man.
