ATTENTION GAMERS:

The gaming store "Games Unlimited" in Concord is going out of business due to an increasing lack of interest in board games amongst the general public. (I've noticed this trend amongst bookstores as well--it seems that people are watching TV and playing video games instead of reading books and playing board games.) Reverse the trend! Show your support! Go buy stuff at Games Unlimited!

Also, if that didn't convince you, they're offering everything at 20% off.

Meanwhile, when I was there yesterday I picked up Starfleet Battles, Khronos, Puerto Rico, Master Labyrinth, and Aquadukt. I've played Puerto Rico and Master Labyrinth before but the rest are new to me. Anyone know anything about the others? I'm currently plodding through the incredibly dense Starfleet Battles rulebook.

THEOREM: A crocodile is longer than it is wide.

PROOF:

Declaration of Variables:
Let L=the length of the crocodile.
Let W=the width of the crocodile.
Let G=the greenness of the crocodile.

A crocodile is long along its top and long along its bottom, but it is only green along its top.
Therefore a crocodile is longer than it is green; i.e. L>G.

A crocodile is green along its length and green along its width, but it is only wide along its width.
Therefore a crocodile is greener than it is wide; i.e., G>W.

Since L>G and G>W, therefore by the transitive property of inequality, L>W.
In other words, a crocodile is longer than it is wide. Q.E.D.
